Loft Rental & Bunking Requests

The cost to loft a bed is $100 per student, and it will be added to your Student Account upon completion of the request. Beds can also be bunked (one bed on top of another) and both roommates submit a request to bunk their beds. Each roommate is assessed a $50 bunk fee. If a student cancels the request or later decides to have the bed unlofted, the fee will not be refunded if the work has already been completed to loft or bunk the bed.

Lofted beds come with guard rails. If you are missing a guard rail, please submit a maintenance request to have them added.

The standard set height for beds is 22", from the floor to the lower underside of bed frame. The lofted height is 54.25" from floor to lower underside of bed frame. The beds can only be set at these two heights. Ladders are not available for lofted beds. The furniture is designed with areas to step up to the bed. Please note that a lofted bed is high enough for the desk to be placed under the bed frame.

When beds are bunked, the lower bed height is set at 13” from floor to lower underside of bed frame. The top/upper bed height is set at 52” from floor to lower underside of bed frame. Ladders are not available for lofted beds. The furniture is designed with areas to step up to the bed.
